There was snow on the ground in Waterloo Region just one week ago, but according to the upcoming forecast, a good amount of warmth and even some increased humidex values are on the way.
The information comes from Environment Canada, which shows temperatures will hit highs in the upper tens and even the low twenties from Monday through Friday.
Along with the above-average highs, the national weather agency also shows humidex values for Tuesday will make it feel close to 27 C.
While the average highs show a swift transition to spring, even summer-like temperatures, the average lows are also showing a sharp move away from winter.

Throughout the week, the average low will sit at around 13 C, with the lone dip being a low of 9 C for Thursday.
For context, the average high for this time of year is closer to 11 C with an average low of 1 C.
The temperatures should bring a few smiles to those who had to battle through what became an arduous winter here in Waterloo Region; the annual theme of April showers is still set to hold true.
Showers and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast throughout much of the week, both day and night.
The week-long stretch of warmer, above-seasonal weather may wrap up before the weekend, though, with Saturday currently showing a high of 8 C.
