On April 11, 2026, Waterloo Regional Police responded to reports of individuals being sprayed with bear mace in the area of Chandler Drive in Kitchener.
Through the investigation, police determined that an altercation took place between two groups. The suspect used the bear spray towards the victims and left prior to police arrival.
No serious physical injuries were reported and the incident is believed to have been targeted.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are seeking to identify any witnesses or obtain video footage that may assist investigators.
