A teenager has been arrested and charged by Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) in connection with the stabbing of a 15-year-old in Waterloo in late March.
The incident itself happened back on March 27 at around 7:10 p.m., right in the area of Phillip Street and University Avenue West, when officers responded to reports of a possible assault.
When they arrived on scene, officers found a 15-year-old male who was suffering from stab wounds and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time, police released the descriptions of two teenagers they were looking to track down, who they said were tied to the incident.
Now, WRPS said it has arrested and charged a 15-year-old male in connection with the stabbing.
He’s been charged with:
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Carry a concealed weapon
The youth was held for a bail hearing, but the investigation remains ongoing.
