Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male in connection with a commercial robbery in Waterloo.
On April 8, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the area of Glen Forrest Blvd and Weber Street North.
A male suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash before fleeing the store and getting into a waiting vehicle.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers located the suspect at a nearby residence and arrested him. A search warrant was completed at the residence and officers located and seized a black BB gun and recovered the cash stolen during the incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Waterloo male has been charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Utter threats
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
