Waterloo Regional Police have laid multiple charges after seizing drugs, weapons, and cash as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
In April 2026, members of WRPS’ South Division Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into a Cambridge male suspected of trafficking controlled substances across the Region of Waterloo.
On June 25, 2026, officers, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), completed a search warrant at a Cambridge residence in the area of Hespeler Road and Munch Avenue.
As a result of the search, officers seized multiple controlled substances, including suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, morphine pills, along with currency and weapons, including bear spray and a replica firearm.
Two Cambridge males, aged 46 and 59, were arrested and charged with several drug and weapons offences.
The accused were held for a bail hearing.
