An arrest has been made and charges laid after an investigation through Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) tied to a string of thefts from motor vehicles centred around credit cards in Waterloo.
The incidents are said to have stretched from Sept. 22 through to Sept. 27, when reports came in of as many as four thefts from vehicles in and around the Wissler Road and Sandringham Drive area of the city.
In those incidents, police were told that credit cards had been taken from a vehicle, leading to the investigation through WRPS’ North Division Direct Action Response Team (DART)
Now, weeks later, regional police said it has led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man who has since been charged with five counts of Use of a Credit Card.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with further details on the case or any similar incidents is asked to contact WRPS at 519-570-9777, extension 6399.
