A Kitchener resident is facing four different charges after being pulled over during a traffic stop by Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Officers said it happened just after midnight, when police were conducting a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and “a motor vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed.”
They said a traffic stop was conducted on Campbell Road in Centre Wellington Township and, as a result, the driver is now facing a list of charges.
Those offences include:
- Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over the posted limit
- Driving a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
- Driving a motor vehicle without a currently validated permit
- Failing to surrender an insurance card
The accused is now set to appear in the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
