Officers with Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) are searching for a suspect after a robbery in Cambridge, where a youth was held at knife-point in the west end of the city.
Officers said it happened on March 28 at around 3:35 p.m. when the youth was biking through Victoria Park in West Galt.
According to police, the boy said he was then approached by a man who showed he was carrying a knife and demanded money.
The boy then handed over some cash before the suspect walked towards a nearby wooded area. The boy was not injured in the incident.
Now, officers are searching for that suspect in question, saying he’s described as a white male, around 40 years old, about 5’8″ tall, with a thin build, a beard, and wearing a grey hat, brown jacket, and light jeans at the time of the robbery.
WRPS is asking anyone with information on the incident or that suspect to reach out at 519‑570‑9777, extension 2299.
