Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is investigating an incident involving ‘targeted property damage’ in Kitchener, one which has left bullet holes in the side of a Mary Brown’s Chicken location.
According to police, the incident was first reported early Sunday morning, at around 2:30 a.m., when officers were told of gunshots at the business in the area of River Road and Morgan Avenue.
“The business was closed at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported,” said WRPS in a release.
“Investigators currently believe the incident was targeted.”
In a video posted by WRPS Constable Chris Iden, bullet holes can be seen in the front windows of the location, which remains under investigation.
At this point, no details have been released about the potential suspects involved, with the case being handled by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
