Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is searching for a suspect tied to a hit-and-run involving an 8-year-old on a bike in Kitchener.
The incident happened on Aug. 19 at around 3:15 p.m., when officers said an unknown driver was travelling on Parkvale Drive near Bianca Court.
The white Honda CR-V involved is said to have “left the roadway and struck a child riding a bicycle on the grass.”
“The driver continued through the grass area, returned to the roadway, and failed to remain at the scene of the collision,” said WRPS in a release.
That victim, an 8-year-old child, was left with non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
Police are now looking to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle, now releasing a photo to the public to try and turn up some leads.
