According to Wellington County OPP, a man from Orangeville has been involved in a rollover collision and is charged with impaired driving.
Police said on August 22, at around 5 p.m., Wellington County OPP learned of a single-vehicle rollover on Wellington Road 22 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
An investigation revealed the vehicle had lost control on a curve and rolled multiple times before stopping in a ditch.
Emergency services tended the scene and assessed the driver and his adult passenger.
OPP said both occupants received minor injuries, but required no further medical assistance once assessed by EMS crews.
As a result of an investigation, a 24-year-old from Orangeville has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous operation
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
A 90-day driver’s licence suspension was issued, along with a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph courts on Sept. 29, 2026.
Police want to remind residents to call 911 if you suspect someone is driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
