Search underway for suspect tied to Kitchener sexual assault case

The search is underway for a suspect tied to a sexual assault involving a female youth in Kitchener, with Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) now releasing a photo and details to help turn up some potential leads.

The incident itself is said to have taken place on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at around 6:20 p.m., with police saying “an adult male sexually assaulted a female youth in the area of Florence Avenue and Jansen Avenue.”

Due to the nature of the incident, few other details have been provided about the incident itself, but police have specified that no physical injuries were reported.

Police are now searching for the suspect in question, who is described as an older adult male, approximately 50 years of age or older, with a slim build, grey and white hair, and facial hair.

Officers added that the male is approximately 5’5″ tall and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and grey pants.
