A road closure has officially been lifted, but investigations are still ongoing after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) found a body in a parked vehicle in Puslinch.
Wellington County OPP initially released information about a road closure on Wednesday, Sept. 23, on Wellington Road 32 between Forestell Road and Concession Road 4, but didn’t provide initial details about the investigation.
Now, though, officers have begun providing more insight into the situation, which they said was launched after they received reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
“Upon police arrival, officers located one person deceased inside the vehicle,” said OPP in a release.
Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident with no indication of a broader threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and police continue to actively monitor the situation.”

Police said that residents could expect that stretch of Wellington Road 32 to remain closed and in place for “an extended period.” It didn’t reopen until later in the afternoon on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Units with Wellington County OPP, provincial police’s Criminal Investigation Branch, the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and OPP’s Forensic Identification Services are continuing to look for further details surrounding the incident.
As the investigation continues, police are now asking that residents, businesses, and anyone who was in the area between 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, review surveillance and dashcam footage for any suspicious vehicles or activity.
