Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) has dished out 11 speeding charges, including four for stunt driving, in just a three-hour span during a traffic enforcement initiative along Hespeler Road in Cambridge.
In a post to social media, WRPS detailed the instances involved in those 11 charges, particularly centred around the four stunt driving offences.
They say those drivers travelled at speeds of up to 127 km/h in a designated 60 km/h zone along stretches of Hespeler.
The post added that the four drivers each received a 30-day driver’s license suspension along with having their vehicles impounded for 14 days.
Regional police are reminding residents across Waterloo Region that excessive and stunt driving pose serious risks to all users on the road, saying those enforcement efforts are part of their continuing commitment to improve road safety.
They’re asking that everyone drive responsibly and according to the posted speed limits.
