Regional police have laid an additional charge stemming from a crash in Wilmot back in August that claimed the life of a woman from that township – as another person involved has succumb to their injuries.
It was on Aug. 1. around 4:55 p.m. when police responded to a reported multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diamond Road.
At the time, police had indicated that that the driver of an involved Toyota, a 70-year-old Wilmot woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three occupants from the other involved vehicle, a white Honda, included a 24-year-old Kitchener man and his two passengers. One of those passengers was taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver and the additional passenger were not seriously hurt.
Police now say that seriously injured passenger, a 27-year-old from Cambridge, died as a result of their injuries on Saturday.
The driver of the Honda now faces an additional charge of Dangerous Operation Causing Death, as well as counts of Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm.
He’s scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
