Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a youth male in connection with a fireworks theft investigation in Cambridge.
On May 15, 2026, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police received a report of a theft at a business in the area of Hespeler Road and Sheldon Drive.
A large group of youths entered the business and were observed taking a quantity of fireworks before fleeing the area.
Three suspects were seen leaving on foot.
On May 18, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers conducting proactive patrol in the downtown Kitchener area located one of the suspects.
A youth male has been arrested and charged for Theft Under $5,000.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519-570-9777.
