Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a fatal incident involving an e-bike in Waterloo.
On May 18, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of an unconscious male in the area of King Street South and William Street East.
The e-bike rider, a 71-year-old Waterloo male, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, it is not believed any other vehicles were involved.
King Street South was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash camera footage from the area at the time to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
