A young person from Mississauga is now facing a list of charges in connection with a stabbing incident in Kitchener.
It was just after midnight on Monday when regional police were called out to a disturbance in the area of Homer Watson Boulevard and Conestoga College Boulevard.
Officers arrived on scene to find a 19-year-old man with stabbing injuries from an edged weapon. He was taken to an out-of-region hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The person who had assaulted that victim had fled the area before police arrived, but has since been identified and arrested.
A 17-year-old from Mississauga now faces several charges including:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breach of recognizance
Investigators believe the stabbing was targeted in nature.
