Regional police have provided an update into a sexual assault investigation in Kitchener – with the accused in that case now in police custody.
It was back on June 30 around 11 p.m. when that alleged sexual assault was reported in the King Street West and College Street area of Kitchener.
Police had released images of a man they were looking to identify in connection with their investigation earlier this week, alongside a suspect description.
Providing an update on Thursday, police said that suspect had been arrested the night prior.
A 33-year-old Kitchener man now faces charges of sexual assault cause bodily harm and assault.
