Regional police are on the hunt for five suspects after a commercial robbery in Waterloo’s university district that left one person injured.
It was on Monday night around 11:40 p.m. when police were called for a reported robbery in the area of King Street North and University Avenue East.
It’s alleged that five suspects entered the store, hid merchandise and attempted to leave the business without paying. When they were confronted by store staff, police say a ‘physical altercation’ occurred.
As a result of that scuffle, the manager of the store was injured.

Police are now looking for five suspects, described as Black men between the ages of 15 to 18-years old. One suspect was said to be wearing blue track pants and a white shirt, while another was said to have been wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
