Two Waterloo teens are facing charges after a reported weapons incident in Kitchener that saw a weapon drawn at a public pool.
It was around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday when police were called to a public pool in the Woodside Avenue area for reports of a man wielding a knife.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested two 17-year-olds from Waterloo.
The first suspect faces charges of Utter Threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The second youth faces a list of charges including:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon
- Assault with a weapon (two counts)
Both teens were held in custody for a bail hearing – police also note that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
