An investigation is ongoing through Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), all tied to a stolen vehicle and a single-vehicle crash in Kitchener.
Officers said it all happened Wednesday, Sept. 23, at around 5:55 a.m., when they received reports of a single-vehicle rollover on Autumn Ridge Trail.
“Police attended the scene and through investigation, determined that the vehicle involved in the collision was reported stolen,” said WRPS in a release.
“All occupants of the vehicle had fled the area prior to police arrival.”

Police are now saying that, due to the extent of the damage and the severity of the crash, there are concerns for the safety and well-being of the vehicle occupants, now seeking to confirm their welfare.
At this time, no further details are known as to the number of occupants or details of any potential suspects involved.
The investigation remains ongoing, with regional police asking that anyone with details of the incident reach out to its Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 8434.
