Drivers heading through the Victoria Hills area of Kitchener will have a new closure to be aware of kicking off this week.
Beginning today, a closure rolls out on Victoria Street South between Fischer-Hallman Road and Hazelglen Drive as crews with the Region of Waterloo get started on phase two of a road reconstruction project.
That closure is expected to be in place until Nov. 15, with posted detours asking traffic to instead use Highland Road to travel between Westmount and Fischer-Hallman.

The region maintains that local access to nearby Fenwick Court, Montel Carlo Street and Hazelglen Drive will continue throughout the planned construction.
Part of a $12M reconstruction project, plans for Victoria Street’s improvement stretch between Fischer-Hallman Road and Lawrence Avenue. Additions include separated bike lanes and sidewalk replacement, multi-use paths between Fischer-Hallman and Westmount, upgrades to traffic signals and more.
You can review the full details on the region’s website.
