As investigations continue into an incident where a body was discovered in a vehicle in Puslinch Township, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has identified the deceased as a Cambridge resident.
Wellington County OPP was told of the incident Monday, Sept. 21, at around 7:30 a.m., when reports came in of a suspicious vehicle stopped on Wellington Road 32.
When responding officers arrived on scene, they located one person deceased inside the vehicle.
“The deceased has been identified as Trumaine Kyte, 43 years old, of Cambridge,” said OPP in a release.
“The death is being investigated as a homicide.”

Investigators have stated that they believe it is an isolated incident, with “no indication of a broader threat.”
Wellington County OPP’s Crime Unit is continuing to investigate the incident under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Officer of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
They’ve said further assistance is also being provided through OPP’s Forensic Identification Services.
As the investigation continues, officers are urging residents and anyone who frequents Wellington Road 32 to review surveillance or dashcam footage for any suspicious vehicles or activity, particularly between the hours of 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21.
