An investigation has been launched by Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) into a sombre situation on a Cambridge roadway, where multiple dead kittens were found discarded onto a city street.
Investigators said it all happened Wednesday morning, at around 9 a.m., when reports came in of what appeared to be injured animals in the area of Hespeler Road and Can-Amera Parkway.
“Two kittens were located deceased, while a third kitten later succumbed to its injuries,” said WRPS in a release.
At this point, officers are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, but according to police, there is a lead they’re looking to develop.
“Initial information received indicates the kittens may have come from a moving vehicle travelling southbound on Hespeler Road,” WRPS said.
Investigations are still ongoing.
