A two-vehicle crash that sent four people to hospital at the beginning of the Thanksgiving weekend in Woolwich Township is now under investigation through Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS).
The incident itself happened Saturday, Oct. 10, at around 4 p.m., when WRPS was called about the crash involving a Ford F-150 and a grey Nissan Rogue at the corner of Westmount Road North and Benjamin Road.
When emergency services arrived on scene, four people, including the driver of the Ford and three occupants in the Nissan, had to be taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
“The intersection was closed for approximately three-and-a-half hours while the collision was investigated,” said WRPS in a release.
“The investigation remains ongoing, and charges are pending.”
Regional police are now asking anyone with details of the incident, who saw what happened, or has dashcam footage of it, to reach out at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
