Waterloo Regional Police have located the stolen ceremonial gong as a result of an ongoing investigation Kitchener.
On May 5, 2026, police located the gong in the area of Victoria Street North and Weber Street West.
The gong has been returned to the Cancer Centre at Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) at Midtown hospital.
A 44-year-old male has been arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000.
