A Kitchener man is in hospital following a serious two-vehicle crash between a motorcycle and another vehicle in the city.
Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) said it all happened Sunday, Aug. 16, at around 2:15 p.m., when officers were called about the collision at the corner of Fischer-Hallman Road and Greenbrook Drive.
When emergency services arrived on scene, they found that a Kawasaki motorcycle had collided with a Hyundai sedan at the intersection.
While there were injuries reported for anyone inside the sedan, the 30-year-old Kitchener man who was driving the motorcycle had to be taken to an out-of-region hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The severity of the incident led to a multi-hour road closure as officers began their initial investigation, but the area has since reopened.
At this point, no details have been given as to any charges expected in relation to the incident, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to reach out to WRPS at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
