OPP continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 7/8 that has closed that roadway between New Hamburg and Shakespeare.
It was just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday when provincial police shared word of that crash, closing the highway between Line 102 and Line 106.
A closure was also put in place on Road 104 from 37 Line to 33 Line through Perth County for the crash investigation.
Initial information had indicated that the above closures were expected to be in place for a significant length of time, with drivers asked to avoid the area.

An update provided around 4:20 p.m. by provincial police has since indicated that the crash involved a motorcycle and two passenger vehicles, with one person pronounced dead at the scene. Three people have also been transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
