Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is searching for answers and now reaching out to the local community for help, as investigations continue around a series of reported sexual assault incidents at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener.
The local service said investigations began back on July 17, when its Special Victims Unit (SVU) received multiple reports of sexual assaults at the local mall.
Officers said the incidents are allegedly connected to one male suspect.
Initially, WRPS released a photo of an individual they were looking to speak with in connection with the investigation, but have since removed the image, saying they’ve identified and spoken with them.
At this time, the investigation still remains ongoing, with few further details known at this time related to the matter.
WRPS is now reaching out to the public for help in the case, with the investigation still ongoing.
