Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is reaching out to the public for help in identifying and locating a suspect connected with as many as five separate restaurant thefts across Kitchener and Wilmot Township.
The series of incidents is said to have occurred between July 5 and July 38, when officers were called about five separate incidents, including restaurants at:
- Westmount Road East and Ottawa Street South
- Courtland Avenue East and Shelley Drive
- Fischer-Hallman Road and Bleams Road
- Bleams Road and Highway 7
In each incident, WRPS said an unknown man made his way into the businesses, stole cash from a till inside, and then fled in a motor vehicle outside.
He’s described as being approximately 6′ tall, wearing a scarf or bandana, and a hat. Officers have said he may be driving a grey 2017-2019 Ford Escape.
No details have been given about the times that the incidents occurred or how much has been stolen, with the investigation still ongoing.
Anyone with details on the incidents or the suspect in question is asked to contact WRPS.
