A driver from Kitchener is facing multiple impaired charges following a traffic complaint about impaired driving.
In response to the complaint, received at around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 6, Wellington County OPP said they conducted a roadside stop on Wellington Road 109 within the Town of Minto.
As a result of their investigation, police have charged a 25-year-old from Kitchener with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
OPP said a 90-day driver’s license suspension was enforced alongside a seven-day vehicle impoundment; the accused in scheduled to appear in Guelph courts on Oct. 13, 2026.
“The Wellington County OPP would like to thank the public for their call and assistance in keeping our streets safe,” police said in their press release.
