Detour signage is already in place as drivers in Waterloo are being warned of overnight closures coming to a busy intersection in that city.
Watermain installation work continues in the area of King Street North and Columbia Street, with overnight closures coming to the intersection on both Oct. 22 and 23 to allow for paving work.
Nearby residents are also warned to expect overnight construction noise during those nightly closures.

The area has seen construction since this summer, with lane reductions squeezing down traffic along Columbia between King Street North and Phillip Street.
The current phase of this multi-million dollar infrastructure improvement project is set to be completed November, as crews will be shifting their attention to the Phillip Street and Columbia intersection. Lane reductions and traffic disruptions are expected to continue during construction, though two-way traffic will still be making it through along Columbia Street.
The larger infrastructure project also includes road resurfacing as well as the installation of new active transportation features, including dedicated cycling lanes. That work is expected to stretch into 2028.
The region notes that construction schedules are dependent upon weather and site conditions.
