Drivers heading through Cambridge may want to be aware of a partial closure coming to that city on Can-Amera Parkway.
The Region of Waterloo warns that a road improvement project will see eastbound lanes of Can-Amera Parkway closed between Conestoga Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard.
That work is expected to get underway on July 27, stretching into August.
The $2.72 million dollar improvements include asphalt replacement, new multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway, improvements to GRT bus stops and more.
While westbound traffic on Can-Amera Parkway is expected to largely be maintained, drivers are warned that there may also be short-term closures for westbound traffic during certain stages of the work.

Those looking to get around the work are encourage to follow the posted detour signage.
Transit riders relying on service through the impacted area are encouraged to review their route on Grand River Transit’s website.
