Officers with Guelph Police are looking for answers after a dangerous near miss at a local intersection, where a driver sped through an intersection and narrowly avoided a head-on collision.
The details coming from dash camera footage released by Guelph Police, showing the incident, which occurred on July 30, right around noon at the corner of Edinburgh Road South and Ironwood Road.
The footage showed two different angles of the situation, one from a passing vehicle, and another from a vehicle that was inches away from being struck.

It showed a “dark late-model Ford Mustang” which approached the intersection in the left turn lane, but rather than slowing down, it continued to maintain speed.
At that point, the video showed the Mustang passing a vehicle in front of it, which was heading in the same direction, while narrowly avoiding a head-on collision with another vehicle which was stopped in the opposite left turn lane.
No contact was made between the vehicles involved, but police are now looking to identify the vehicle and the driver in question due to the severity of the situation and the dangers it posed.
