A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for charges of arson and extortion in Winnipeg could potentially be hiding out in Waterloo Region.
That’s according to the Winnipeg Police Service and Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), who took to social media with details of 29-year-old Farhan Nabil.
According to police, he could be in Ontario, with WRPS saying that “On behalf of Winnipeg Police, Farhan Nabil is known to frequent the Waterloo Region.”
They said he is wanted in an ongoing extortion and arson investigation involving retail businesses in Winnipeg in July of 2025, an investigation that has already led to the arrest of six other individuals.
Nabil is facing four total charges, including counts of Conspiracy to Commit and Indictable Offence for arson, as well as two counts of the same, but for extortion.
Anyone with information about NABIL’s whereabouts is asked to contact WRPS or the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit directly at 204-986-6219.
