News with Justin Koehler
Starting his career in marketing and social media management, Justin made the turn to broadcasting in 2022 when he joined Fanshawe College’s Broadcast-Journalism program in London, Ontario.
During his time, he won multiple awards in writing and newscasting, as well as the Bob Collins Journalist of the Year Award.
He worked as a news anchor with Woodstock’s 104.7 Heart FM while in school before being brought on by CityNews Kitchener and 570 NewsRadio in 2024.
Justin was brought on as Anchor and News Director for FM 985 CKWR in March of 2026.
He also serves as the Lead Colour Analyst for the London Majors and operated as the play-by-play voice during the Canadian Men’s Fastpitch Softball Championship in Kitchener.
When not in the office, Justin spends his time growing ghost peppers, soaking in new tech trends, and keeping his ear to the ground across Waterloo Region.
